Az Uplink nem HL1 demo, mivel nem a HL1-ből van, csak ugyanaz a motor, meg hasonló a játékmenet.
Volt anno egy The First Day vagy hasonló nevü demo, de azt csak gamer magazinoknak jutatták el ha jól tudom, és a HL első napját tartalmazta.

Bakker, azt mondták, hogy nem lesz demó, ahogy a HL1 esetében sem volt. De erre rábasztak, mert a HL1-nek van demója, ez az Uplink.
