Néhány hét múlva, decemberben rendezik meg az idei The Game Awardsot, amelyre csak pár nappal ezelőtt hirdették meg a kategóriákat és azokban a jelölt játékokat. De az év végéhez közeledve természetesen nem ez az egyetlen díjátadó, amely a 2025-ös évben megjelent játékokat és az iparághoz kötődő egyéb szereplőket értékelte.
A Golden Jostick Awards egy nagyságrendekkel hosszabb múltra visszatekintő díjátadó, hiszen első alkalommal 42 évvel ezelőtt, vagyis 1983-ban rendezték meg. Összehasonlításképp a The Game Awards csupán 2014 óta létezik. A Golden Joystick Awards idén tehát már a 43. alkalommal került megrendezésre Londonban, ahol nem meglepő módon a Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 valósággal letarolta a mezőnyt.
