Major Features
Multi-User
Each VBS1 system has a multi-user capability. Operate it stand-alone using Artificial Intelligence (AI) opposing forces, or use it across a LAN or Internet with other live VBS1 users. The multi-user capability works with up to 32 total users with no degradation in performance.
Mission Editor
Each VBS1 core system comes with its own mission editor. Create and store as many unique scenarios as you wish. Modify them at any time change opposing forces, add participants, move assets on the grid, change time of day or weather conditions!
Mission Wizard
The Mission Wizard allows you to select mission templates and modify the missions for you own specific training requirements. This tool is simple and easy to use.
Opposing Forces
Select opposing forces from your model list within the mission editor. Select weapons, type of forces, level of competence, and general opposing force activities and tactics. Create a scenario using point and click strokes on the Core Island. Opposing forces can be live via other VBS1 users on the network, or Artificial Intelligence, if other live users are not available.
In-Depth Artificial Intelligence
VBS1 uses a very advanced artificial intelligence for behaviors, inter-model communications and accurately modeled tactics currently taught by the military. AI and modeling has been carefully applied to various triggers, waypoints, and scripts. Diurnal rotation of the earth (Day/Night), accurate sun angles for latitude and date of year, highly modeled time-lapse weather patterns, and celestial objects have all been very accurately modeled. These are only a few of the hundreds of models, simulations and AIs that are continuously in operation throughout each session. The AI models also have a variable degree of intelligence that can be modified using the mission editor in accordance with the degree of training required.
