"You may wonder, for instance, where the playable demo of Commandos 2 has got. Well, to let you into a little secret... it's been a victim of the aforementioned 'generous film trailer' syndrome. Don't think for a minute that its not done - it was completed months ago, hence our Next Month page promising the goods issue after issue. No, the problem is that the developers, Pyro, have made a playable demo so vast that publishers Eidos aren't happy releasing it. Eidos think that giving away such a large chunk of the game may put prospective buyers off purchasing the full version. Meanwhile, Pyro are apparently none too keen on creating a new playable demo while simultaneously racing to hit their final deadline. All of which means that there's no Commandos 2 demo this month, and we're forced to cross all of our more pliable appendages in the hope that one of the parties has a change of heart sometime soon."
