I did this calculation some time back, since my friend was finding 3-4 El's per hour in his games.
3^20 El's to make a Pul, correct?
3^1 = rune#2
3^2 = 9 El = 3x Eld = Tir = rune#3
3^(n-1) = rune#(n)
Pul is rune 21.
3^20 = 1 Pul.
Now, 2^1 Pul = Um = rune#22.
2^2 = 4x Pul = 2x Um = 1x Mal = rune#23
2^(m-1) = rune#(m+20)
Zod is rune #33.
2^(m-1) = rune#(m+20) = rune#(33). m+20 = 33, m=13.
2^12.
So, 2^12 * 3^20 = # of El's to equal Zod.
3^20 = 3,486,784,401
2^12 = 4,096
Product = 14,281,868,906,496 = 14.2 TRILLION El's.
Now, convert every 3 to 1 second, for an example of time.
Then, assuming 1 conversion per second, divide by 60 for minutes. Divide by another 60 for hours.
Divide by 24 for days. Divide by 365.25 for years.
=150,855.
It would take you over one hundred fifty thousand YEARS of cubing at 3 runes per second to cube El's to Zod.
So, no, don't bother.
Edit:
Also, number of accounts? Assuming 48 spaces in stash, and 40 in inventory, -4 for cube, +12 for cube = 48+40+8 = 96 spots per character.
*8 characters per account. = 768 spots per account.
Actually, this divides evenly into the big number.
